Yesterday the Stratos II team and Delft Dynamics, a TU Delft spin-off company that produces small unmanned aerial vehicles, agreed on flying a small camera and video link on-board of the Stratos II rocket.
Delft Dynamics is a company that produces small unmanned aerial vehicles. They started off in 2006, founded by 4 engineers from the faculty of Aerospace Engineering that wanted to develop concepts they worked on during their studies into a commercial product. This led to the small, unmanned robot helicopters that Delft Dynamics is currently working on.
Together with Delft Dynamics, the Stratos II team will be integrating a camera system and video link on-board of the rocket to provide awesome footage from 50km altitude, hopefully catching a good glimpse of the curved edge of the Earth.
