Past Sunday, October the 5th, DARE was present at the joint TU Delft stand at the ESA open day in Noordwijk. It was a great opportunity to show the general public who we are and what we work on.
It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm space inspires in so many people and we got very positive feedback from visitors and ESA staff alike on our work and the Stratos II launch campaign.
And of course we inspired a whole new generation of future aerospace engineers by giving kids the chance to have their picture taken with a real rocket (propellant not included)! Big smiles all around and a bag full of posters were the general outcome of the day, and of course we will be back next year, hopefully with some flight proven Stratos II hardware!
