Solid Propellant testing

Today the solid propulsion group performed a second successful pressurized propellant test. The aim of this test is to determine crucial performance parameters of the Alan-5 propellant in order to be able to design a motor around it and to get it UN-certified. After the propellant is certified, it will be possible to produce it in larger quantities for further tests and large motor design. In the meantime, however, the solid propulsion group will be focusing on more small-scale pressurized tests.

Next week the Alan-5 test results will be presented at the International Astronautical Congress in Prague. The team is looking forward to representing DARE and the Stratos II project in Prague, and of course looking forward to continuing with the testing!
