    I don’t think we every congratulated you on that launch, but then consider this as so, indeed a fantastic achievement for a sugar based propellant rocket.

    We as DARE have never claimed the world record for amateur rocketry, but only the European one (i.e. fully designed, build (incl. engine) and launched by a European group, on European soil). I don’t think we ever considered how we rank in the subclass of sugar based propellants.

    Stratos 1 launched to 12.3 km altitude, which with the launch site in Kiruna matches to approximately 12.5km above sea level.

    Keep up the good work. We love so see more competition between amateur rocket groups worldwide!
