Day 1, First meetings and setting up shop

Today we woke up in a comfortable hotel bed. Today is the day of meeting all the people of Esrange and having meetings with them for the first time. Mark, Hein, Eric en Martijn had the honor of having the first meeting, but at a price. The alarm was set at six in the morning to meet with the head of the launch team. The rest of the team joined them after breakfast for the welcome speech and the safety briefing. During the remaining part of the morning the team members had all kind of small meetings with for example ICT, soft- and hardware experts and the project leader of the REXUS campaign. One of things we learned from these meetings is that we will launch after the REXUS 6. This means we will not launch before Sunday.

The afternoon is used to setup shop (Esrange provided us with a office and a laboratory) and to tinker with the electronics. We also went to the rocket graveyard.

Keep up the postings, probably lots of things to do but I enjoy reading the reports from Zweden.

Good work with the day to day updates! How are the weather conditions for the launch?
